How did I end up here?
Emma is trying to learn to crawl but for now she mostly just rolls around wherever she wants to go. When she tries to crawl she usually get her arms under her and ends up pushing backwards. I was quite suprised the other day when I went into the kitchen for a moment and came back to find a very confused face peering out from under the couch.

I began laughing so hard that she thought she was being pretty funny and started smiling herself.

Crazy kid!!

Saying Goodbye
Dave as we all know loves to fish but if your gonna go fishing you need to take a camera because you need evidence when all you do is catch and release. So when I bought my camera many years ago before meeting Dave I never thought of all the fishing (swimming) it would be doing. My cute little Nikon took many great pictures and went on lots of fun trips, many of which it became submerged a time or two. But that good ol' camera kept on working.
For a long time we have talked about getting Dave a underwater camera so we didn't have to worry about it not living through another fishing trip. I just couldn't quite get myself to say ok to this though because my camera still worked just fine. A few weeks ago however Dave came home from a fishing trip and told me that not only had my camera been swimming again but it had gone swimming with it's lens open. Dave thought she was done for but I thought for sure she would make it again, she always did.
The next morning I got up early like I usually do and started breakfast for Dave. I preheated the oven and started the cinnamon rolls. When the oven beeped that it was heated and the rolls were reay to go in I opened the door to and there in the oven on a hot plate was...
MY CAMERA!!
The poor thing was melted completeley, destroyed beyond repair! I quickly grabbed the camera and went running to the bedroom where Davey was fast asleep I said "WHAT THE HECK IS THIS!?" quickly he woke up and stared at me. Then he proceeds to ask "why didn't you look in the oven before you turned it on?" there was nothing left to do the camera was destroyed and the accomplice was in complete denial, so I just laughed! There is no use crying over spilt milk. The damage was done and I have to admit it was a pretty funny way of loosing the camera.
It went out with a a bang or should I say burn.
The only thing I really regret is this happened a couple days before my cousins wedding so I had no camera to use. But we got a deal on a new camera and it is water proof down to 30 feet so Dave can take it fishing anytime he wants!

Fall Walks
With the weather outside changing and the scenery becoming more colorful and beautiful by the day I use this time to take Emma out for walks and get her eyes busy looking at our Heavenly Fathers beautiful work. She looks so cute all bundled up and happy to be out.

I am so bummed this picture ended up being a little blurry she got excited and moved to quick for the setting I had my camera on. Dang it! Still cute though.

Our little Emma has really grown fast. She is so sweet and smiles all the time. After her bath I couldn't resist taking a bunch of pictures. Those big blue eyes just draw you in. I blew up a few of them and put them in nice frames to put in her nursery.

YEE-HAW!!!
Move 'em out, head 'em up,Head 'em up, move 'em on.Move 'em out, head 'em up Rawhide. Cut 'em out, ride 'em in,Ride 'em in, cut 'em out,Cut 'em out, ride 'em in Rawhide!
Every year Prineville starts the rodeo weekend with a cattle drive down the middle of town. They used to have a lot more cattle but they would get out of control and romp all the towns landscaping. So this year the almost seemed to have more horses than cattle. It's quite fun to watch but if your not there on time you will miss it. Enjoy these shots!

Kaden's Birthday
This last weekend we went down to Corvallis for Kaden's 4th birthday party. He turned four a couple weeks ago but had his party later. One of his gifts was this guitar from my mom, she had to ask permission though because last year she got him a pretty loud acordian (sorry Heather). I took a lot of pictures but out of them all this was definatley my favorite. I think it says it all.
ROCK ON KADEN!!

Born to Fish!
Our little Emma had already been fishing by the time she was a week old I guess she was just born to fish. We are lucky to have a creek in the back yard so Dave got the great idea to fix up his old creel and take some pictures. They turned out so cute! Little Emma is definatley the best catch either of us have ever had.

Our Little Angel
Being a first time mother I never really understood how much love we are capable of. I have found that when you have a child a bond is formed that makes life better than ever. To know that this little angel depends on you so completly makes you change your whole life around her and smile while doing it.
Even when feeding time comes at 2 a.m. knowing I am with my baby Emma makes me happy. I am sure you can see by these pictures how she wraps everyone she meets around her little fingers. She truly is adorable.

Emma Baer Halbleib
Ok so I finished the nursery (and hospital bag) on Saturday and cleaned the house pretty spotless because we had Dave's parents and my dad over for dinner Sunday. I guess I really jinxed myself because when I went in for my weekly dr. check-up on Tuesday I never checked out. They sent me across the parking lot to the hospital birthing center. There were a few different complications and red flags that caused it, but in the short run it was mostly my blood pressure level. And after they said they were gonna possibly send me to the hospital to have her today the blood pressure went WAY HIGH!
I called Dave and told him he better leave work and head to bend! I called my parents and sisters and everyone was on there way. I checked in, got in the dumb gown, got the IV put in (I hate needles so this was really hard for me) and waited. After a couple hours everyone showed up. Because I wasn't dialated at all they had to give my drugs to start the process. Nothing happened for a long time so everyone went to grama's house to get sleep until we called. At 12:30 that night my water broke. Needless to say that was a very strange feeling and when I started laughing it only got worse! We called in the nurse and she was very happy that it broke on it's own, then she told me things would really start happening now. I thought bring it on let's get the ball rolling...bad idea!! The next few hours were awfull. I was reacting badly to the contractions and they wanted to start me on pitocin which would make the contractions worse so I got the epidural. It worked wonders on me, but as soon as the contractions started coming more frequently things went down hill for baby. I was pretty out of it because I was so tired and no longer in pain but I knew the doctors were in the room and watching me. I could here them talking to Dave every once in a while. Every time I had a contraction Emma's heart rate would drop. When it hit 60 around 4:30 am they told me I had to go in for an emergency C-section. I got the shakes really bad and wouldn't let go of Dave's hand telling him I couldn't do it and not to let them take me in because I was terrified. He assured me that it was gonna be ok and he would be there with me. They all got in there scrubs and took me into the operating room. I demanded Dave had to be there and as soon as he came in I felt so much better. With all the drugs I didn't feel a thing and just locked myself on Dave until 5:05 am when they said "here she is" and I couldn't believe it was over. They let Dave cut the cord and brought my beautiful baby to me. Then said my job for the next two hours was to sleep. I thought that sounded pretty good! The next thing I remember was my mom walking in at 7:30am and asking how things were coming along, needless to say she was very suprised to see Dave holding a beautiful baby girl. My family was all gonna be in the room when I had the baby so for them to miss everything was a shock. My baby is named after her great great great grama Emma Baer. I hope you all enjoy the pictures.
Love at first sight!

Dave looks good in scubs!!

This one is a little out of order. This is before baby.
